Frost Warning? 08/27/2009

Wow, lignum vitae is hard, no kidding!  I've been using a diamond saw to get through it, and it sure wasn't happy about it.

There are three complete sets of runes finished, and bags need to be sewn for two of those.  Three bracelets down, two remain to be finished, and one that I'm making for myself of a new design to see how it works.  It's good to make something for yourself every now and then.  :]

Added a quickie illustration today, and that's about it.

I added in a drawing of a GSD to Illustration.  This is one of two images, one in dry, one in wet media.  I'm doing this with at least one or two of my other favourite dog breeds, since it'll get me into the swing of things with paint again, and I can't work on wet pictures at work, so it's all coloured pencils there.

Also, working on my accessories.  There's a couple additions to the Shop, which I've advertised in a couple places.  Even if they don't go online, I can stockpile them until I open my Farmer's Market booth down the road, so I have made my time useful either way!  Although I really have to pick somewhere better ventilated to use the glue since it releases acetic acid while curing and damn does that ever sting.  I even picked stuff safe for aquarium use so it would be benign afterwards, but yoikes.  I'll be doing a lot of work out in the sunshine, I think.  Although it would probably help if I wasn't bending my head right over my hands.

New Website! 04/14/2009

After a long hiatus due to RL concerns, I finally have a website up again.  Weebly is a pit stop on the way to a custom site, but one that will do quite nicely until my husband Lucas finds the time to put everything back together.  It's not big on fancy, but it has all the tin bells and whistles, and hey, I'm not paying for it!  Fully recommend it for anyone needing their own who knows jack about actually building one(read: me).

One of the few nice things about a long pause underground is that it gives you a chance to reinvent yourself, or at least tear down those old drapes and crack open a bright pretty can of mistinted paint you found while your brain was wandering around back.  To that end, I'm focusing more on a wider range of objects, art and commercial.  Part of this is from being older, both in maturity and physical age(tattooing, let me tell you, is hell on the hands, and I like my thumbs enough to want to keep using them.  Well.).

This blog will be the place to keep track of updates, basic happenings, and any old thing I feel needs attention in regards to the MASC.  I don't expect to see many people in here, but Hi! if you find this.
